Cruise Holidays

Long gone are the days where cruising was just for the rich and famous. A cruise holiday in the 21st century offers something for everyone! Set sail from a UK port or take a flight to sunnier skies and head out on a fly cruise. You can enjoy a jog around the deck, climb up a rock wall, or just relax and watch the world go by on modern day liners. What better and more ideal way of visiting different destinations within the Mediterranean, Caribbean, European and other exciting worldwide destinations than by cruising?

With a record number of UK residents cruising there is now a huge choice of sailings from British ports. Many British and international cruise lines have some of their ships based in ports around the British Isles. Sailings operate down to the Canary Islands, around to the Mediterranean and even to further afield such as the USA and Caribbean.

Before you know it you will be shouting “Ahoy there” and setting sail on your dream cruise holiday. On board the ships there is a huge array of activities, facilities, places to eat and drink and to be entertained too. Some ships even offer funfairs and water parks, so a cruise is also very family friendly.

Cruise Holidays – Something for everyone

So what do cruises offer you? Well they offer you the chance to see many different destinations whilst staying in fantastic surroundings without having to pack and unpack multiple times. All whilst enjoying first class service with fabulous food and great entertainment.

Here at JLM Travel we can offer great deals from all the top cruise lines such as Celebrity, Cunard, Cruise & Maritime, Fred Olsen, MSC, NCL, P&O, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean and many more. From small intimate ships to giant megaships which are almost like a city on the sea. We have something for all budgets and from family friendly budget options to adult only luxury liners.

There are many different kind of cruise holidays, here are just a few:

Fly-Cruise: Fly from your choice of UK airport and fly out to meet your choice of ship. For example in Europe many ships depart from Barcelona or for Caribbean sailings they depart from Miami. Once your cruise has returned to port, you fly home to the UK.

Ex UK Cruise: This is a cruise that departs from a UK port. Southampton is the premier cruise port, however many regional ports are visited and also see cruises set sail from them such as Dover, Greenock, Harwich, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Cruise and Stay: A cruise and stay is usually where a hotel stay is combined with a voyage of your choice either before or afterwards. The most popular cruise and stay holidays are usually overseas and reached by flights, however many people combine a stay in a UK city with a cruise too.

Tailor-made Cruise & Stay: Tell us what you want and we can build you the ideal cruise and stay package. For example, if you fancy a few days in New York then a cruise followed by a few days on the beach in Miami, we can help.

Taster Cruise: A short break cruise offers a perfect opportunity to experience life onboard before committing to a longer stay on the seas. Taster cruises will usually depart from a UK port and take in a couple of destinations and then return to the original port.

Transatlantic Cruises: The most well known transatlantic cruise would be on the Queen Mary 2 from Southampton to New York with all the glitz and glamour that many people have experience from years gone by. However some cruise lines move ships between seasons from the Caribbean to Europe and vice versa and can offer fantastic value for money.
