Laganas Holidays
Laganas has built itself quite a repuatation for being one of the best party hotspots in Greece and even Europe. The resort is the largest on the island of Zante and it offers a fantastic beach, a wide choice of places to stay, great transport links and a brilliant and vibrant nightlife scene.
One of the main attractions of holidays to Laganas has to be the gorgeous sandy beach, which stretches for over five miles and lapped by the warm and clear waters. One thing you will notice is the lack of watersports on Laganas beach, and there is a good reason for this. The beach is a conservation area for about 1,300 loggerhead turtles that nest on it each year, and tourists are asked to not disturb the nests. For anyone looking to indulge in watersports, a local shuttle bus will whisk you to nearby Agios Nikolaos beach where there is a good choice on offer.
As a well established resort, Laganas has a wide choice of holiday accommodation with everything from basic self catering to all inclusive hotels. The centre of the resort is particular popular with the 18-30 crowd near all the nightlife in high season, however on the outskirts of the resort are many family friendly accommodations with a selection of traditional tavernas and restaurants scattered around.
Younger travellers head for holidays in Laganas mainly for the legendary nightlife, in high season the resort comes alive with flashing disco lights and neon signs attracting groups of girls and guys eager to party. Popular DJ’s fly in from around Europe playing all the latest tunes until the early hours and help make this resort so popular.

Take a boat trips and it will give you the chance to see the turtles in their natural environment as well as an opportunity to see the sea caves that are dotted along the coastline.
