A wide range of other water sports are available to try on the beach front.

It is close to the ruins of Ephesus - just half an hour drive away, making it rich in history, as well as a perfect point for many cruise ships to stop for their guests to explore this interesting part of Turkey. Aside from the busy city centre, the views and scenery are beautiful, and the significant archaeological sites which have been left from the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman empires are perfect for those who want to learn about the history of Turkey. There is plenty of places to visit and see in and around Kusadasi itself, the citadel of the castle in Pigeon Island, a prominent feature of the town, where the ancient centre is still surrounded by the old walls and gates.

Nightlife can be very lively, especially in the height of summer with music bars, karaoke and nightclubs on offer.
