The town is quiet and relaxing by day but on a night it comes alive with a big selection of lively bars, restaurants and shops selling local goods. During the day many people head to the beach below at Olu Deniz, if you are feeling energetic you can walk it in around an hour or for a much quicker journey jump on the local dolmus and you will be on the beach in around five to ten minutes. If the beach is too hot the cooler temperatures in Hisaronu offer a welcome relief so lying around the pool is usually a popular option too.

Restaurants in Hisaronu range from traditional Turkish to international cuisine such as Indian and Chinese restaurants. Whatever your taste there is something to suit all budgets. Many of the bars have disco and Karaoke nights giving you the change to sing your favourite hit!

There is a selection of shops and stalls in Hisaronu; however the nearby town of Fethiye has a much wider range as it is the regional capital. A visit to Fethiye is always a popular day out and the cheapest and quickest way to get there is by local dolmus. Fethiye is a port town from where ferries leave for Greece as well as the daily boat trips that are always a fun day out for all ages.

There are a number of excursions available including the fabulous Saklikent Gorge and trips to ancient settlements and hillside burial grounds nearby. Hisaronu is a great resort for all ages and is highly recommended for a holiday in Turkey.
