Holidays to Trianda are based in a leisurely beach resort with a traditional village at the heart. The popular resort is around six miles to the south west of Rhodes town, close to Ixia and just four miles from the airport. The beaches of Trianda are a popular place to enjoy the day, the mainly shingle and pebble beach are a haven for families who enjoy snorkelling off the beach or for the more active there is a wide selection of water sports available and is particular popular with windsurfers and there is a tuition club for beginners. Take a pedaloe and admire the lovely coastline or take a dip a little further out. The welcome breezes and low waves here make both windsurfing and sailing very popular daytime activities. There are five windsurfing stations along the beach. Simple tavernas and bars offer some beach side refreshment out of the heat of the day.

Away from the beach, a visit to the old village is definitely worth doing, it’s only a ten minute walk from the beach. The village of Trianda is built on the site of the ancient town called Ialyssos and it is sometimes known by this name. The village has a traditional feel and with typically Greek architecture, a traditional style church, a monastery built during Byzantine times with ancient ruins. All topped off with fantastic views of the local area.

Trianda holidays are not renowned for anyone looking for a lively break, however evenings are usually spent at one of the good selection of restaurants and a modest selection of bars and clubs. For a much livelier night, people head for nearby Rhodes Town where plenty more action and more choice can be found. Ixia is close by too and has a range of shops bars and restaurants that are popular with holidaymakers.
