The fortified complex was a used in the Middle Ages by the Knights of St John and has ruins within its walls as well as the Byzantine church of St. John, it offers up a lot of history. The historical town is traffic free and the winding maze of streets is just waiting to be discovered and enjoyed by locals and tourists.
