Continuing the drive 10 minutes past pernera is Kapparis, in total contrast to the busy resort centre of Protaras, Kapparis is quiet and far less built-up with a small sand/pebble beach.

The most popular beach of Protaras is Fig Tree Bay with its crystal clear waters and beautiful golden sand it proves very popular with guests every year. Protaras has an excellent range of water sports and activities including jet skis, banana boats, paragliding and many more. There is some excellent excursions available such as boat trips to Famagusta and Cape Greco which are highly recommended. The weather in Protaras is excellent with a mild winter and hot summer meaning it is a good place to visit all year round.

Evenings can be as laidback or hectic as you wish with the nightlife kicking in after dark. The resort has a wide variety of bars, tavernas and some beautiful restaurants and even a couple of night clubs where you can spend your evenings and dance until the small hours. If you fancy a bit of a change you could also head into nearby Ayia Napa for the night, which is just fifteen minutes drive away and a much bigger and livelier choice of bars and clubs await with all the top DJ's performing sets during the peak summer months.
